GySgt Jordan was the first Connecticut man killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. the 2nd since September 11. He was killed on March 23, 2003 along with eight other Marines in an ambush near the city of An Nasiriyah when Iraqi soldiers feigned surrender before opening fire.
